The Massive Mini Painting Project

A while back, I received an email from a reader who shared a link to a new project he had started. A friend of his sent him a Grenadier miniatures boxed set of “Woodland Adventurers” to paint and he is documenting the process on his Facebook page (Facebook.com/TheMassiveMiniPaintingProject).
I painted a few miniatures decades ago and was very unhappy with the results. Mainly this was due to the paints and tools I had chosen. I’m looking forward to trying my hand at it again so I’m very interested in seeing how others approach the process.
Here is an image of the finished pieces (plus a few others).

Be sure to check out the Facebook Page for the close-up shots and step-by-step progression.
Thanks for the nice words! :-)
I’d recommend anyone interested try looking at the Reaper “Learn to Paint” kits. Each kit teaches styles and techniques in a friendly informative manner. They are less than $30 and you get all the paint you’ll need, a couple miniatures with step by step instructions with great color pictures.
I’d recommend a palette board and a couple brushes (10/0 and 20/0 or 30/0 round & spot, respectively. And a good magnifying light or whatever floats your boat.
Virtually anyone can paint like I’m doing! :-D
Best part is it’s one of those things that provides gratification, I highly recommend trying it some time if you have the means to do so.
